The Devi Bhagavata Purana (Sanskrit: देवी भागवतपुराण, Devī Bhāgavatapurāṇa), otherwise called the Shrimad Devi Bhagvatam and the Devi Bhagavatam, is a Sanskrit text that has a place with the Purana-sort of Hindu literature.[1] The content is viewed as a Mahapurana (significant Purana) of India.

The content comprises of twelve Skandha (areas) with 318 chapters.b Alongside Devi Mahatmya, it is one of the most significant works in Shaktism, a convention inside Hinduism that venerates Devi or Shakti (Goddess) as the early stage maker of the universe and the Brahman (extreme truth and reality).[3][4][5] It praises the heavenly ladylike as the root of all presence, the maker, the preserver and the destroyer of everything, just as the person who enables profound liberation.[1][6] While every significant Purana of Hinduism notice and worship the Goddess, this content bases on her as the essential divinity.[7][8] The hidden way of thinking of this content is Advaita Vedanta-style monism joined with reverential love of Shakti (female force)
